The Dwajasthambham of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is over 34 feet in height, the one to be installed at Shival temple will be about 36 feet in height. Before commencing works like carving and others, they have to be seasoned for a long time. Regarding Dwajasthambham, the official said two special single-piece wooden logs were brought from Adilabad and Nirmal two years back.
Similar process is followed for Dwajasthambham as well, the official explained. While, the seven Gopurams of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple will be having gold plated Kalashas, the ones on Shiva temple atop the hill, will have brass-plated Kalashas. Before gold plating, copper plating is done on the Kalashas and then they are fixed atop the Gopurams.
Renovation efforts have been forced by the trust in full swing and the trust is in need of philanthropic support to complete the service to the Lord. Currently the temple is in a very much dilapidated condition and is requiring lot of renovation. And also Arakkonam is near Sholinghur, which is another famous hill temple of Lord Narasimha. The temple is located on Chennai - Tandalam - Perambakkam route. The temple is located in Narasingapuram near Perambakkam, which is about 21 Kms from Arakkonam. I would like to present a compiled information over here, along with the information given by Narasimhan, who is also in the administrative trust of the temple. A brief search in Google revealed some tidbits of information on the temple. And through them, who had seen the advertisement in front of Sri Ahobila Mutt, Thiruvellore, I came to know of a very old temple called Narasingapuram Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar temple. This new moon day coincided with Deepavali and my house members had travelled to Thiruvellore to worship Vaidya Veeraraghavan (Evvul Kidhanthan) on the holy day.
